CARLINSVILLE, Ill. (Sept. 13,2026) - The Buena Vista men's soccer team was back in action on Sunday afternoon for a non-conference road contest at Blackburn College, and the battle of the Beavers woud end in a 0-0 tie.
Despite Blackburn holding a 20-7 edge in total shots, junior keeper
Alexis Sanabia was able to keep the Beavers from finding the back of the net by recording a season-high 13Â saves.
Brayden Schwinck and Zachary Jakobitz each registered two shots to lead BVU on the offensive end.
Kenin Kapich and
Daniel Martinez each had one of the team's two shots-on-goal.
The two programs have now met for the fourth straight year with the series sitting at 1-1-2.
Next up for Buena Vista (0-2-2) is a trip to the University of Northwestern (MN) on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m.
