STORM LAKE, Iowa (May 26, 2026) - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2026 Academic All-District Softball Team with Buena Vista University represented by senior Kali Irlmeier, junior Jillian Garcia and sophomore Jordan Fabirkiewicz.

To be eligible, an individual must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing with at least one full academic year on campus, hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear in at least 90 percent of the team's overall games for the season or have started at least 66 percent of them. For pitchers only, a minimum of 17 appearances or 35 innings are required.

Fabirkiewicz, who is a digital media major, and Garcia, a psychology major, are being recognized for the first time in their careers while Irlmeier, who is an Ag Business major, lands a spot on the team for a second straight year.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Up to five players could nominated from each institution's Athletic Communications Director.
