DES MOINES, Iowa (Apr. 28, 2026) - The Buena Vista men's golf posted its lowest round of this year's A-R-C Championships during Tuesday's final round with a 304 and would go on to place fifth overall which is its highest placing since 2012.
The Beavers finished with a 54-hole total of 935 which was only one stroke behind Wartburg which jumped up two spots to take fourth after a 302. BVU also placed fifth in both 2011 and 2012.
Senior
Matthew Turpen bounced back and started his final collegiate round with nine straight pars and finished his day with a four-over 75 and moved up two spots to place 17th overall. Junior
Gabe Kramer also posted a 75 which included a team-high three birdies on the round and climbed up eight spots to tie for 21st. Senior
Mason Laven had a pair of birdies over his first nine holes and was just behind with a 77 and placed 20th.
Kaleb Sander matched the 77 and also tied for 21st.
Reid Hany rounded out the line-up with an 81.
The University of Dubuque (884) held off a late surge by Nebraska Wesleyan (893) to claim the overall team title by nine strokes over the Prairie Wolves. Central College came in third with a 922.
It marked the end of the careers for Turpen, Laven, Sander, as well as
Carson Krogulski.
