INDIANOLA, Iowa (Apr. 21, 2026) - The Buena Vista softball team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon for an American Rivers Conference doubleheader at #14 Simpson College, but the Beavers were dealt a tough test and fell in five innings during both games to the Storm by scores of 12-1 and 18-0.Simpson scored four times in the second inning and seven in the third to break things open during game one. The Beavers were held to just two hits in the game with its only run coming in the top of the fifth on a solo home run by freshman Brielle Ward which is the first of her career. The only other hit came on a single by sophomore Jordan Fabirkiewicz. The Storm finished with nine hits overall, including three doubles, and took advantage of three Beaver errors. They also stole five bases.Kali Irlmeier suffered the loss for BVU as she allowed eight runs but only one earned on five hits over 2.0 innings.
