QUINCY, Ill. (Feb. 7, 2206) - The Buena Vista STUNT team was right back in action on Saturday morning for the second day of the Quincy University Kickoff Tournament and faced a pair of ranked teams. The Beavers began with a tough 8-0 loss against NAIA #2 Central Methodist University before also dropping an 8-0 game to the host Saints who were ranked #22 in DII.

"The team focused so much better today," said BVU head coach Kezia Molinsky. "They showed resilience and determination by playing more difficult rounds earlier in the season than ever before. We came home bruised but ready for all DIII conference play next weekend in Indiana."

BVU had multiple players with strong performances over the two days. Dayna Bueso, Keesha Lindemann, and Allie Martin played all four quarters of each game . Martin, Hannah Barker and Faith Fitzgerald all played clutch positions during the third quarter jumps and tumbling with Madison Monahan also among the team's top scorers.

Senior Cassidy Weide was also solid in all four quarters of play while in a new position this year helping to solidify the team's secondary base needs.

The Beavers head to the state of Indiana next weekend (Feb. 13-14) for three more games. The first of those is against Saint Mary's College at 5 p.m.
