STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Buena Vista University Esports team is in full swing this spring playing over 20 games this week. With one day left in the week the Beavers have compiled a 9-10 record in team games this week.
Smash Gold continues to be impressive in Midwest Valley Esports competitions as they beat Illinois College 2-0 (5-1, 4-3) improving to 2-0 on the season.
Micah Garringer led the way with six knockouts while Matt Forristal and
James Cheney each had five. BVU Navy picked up a solid victory in NECC competition defeating Thomas Morre 2-0 (12-11, 12-9).
Valorant opened up week one with a nice 2-1 (11-13, 13-10, 13-9) victory over Coe College in NECC play.
Angel Lopez had 72 total kills in the match for the Beavers.
Rainbow Six Siege went 3-0 on the week with victories over Alaska-Anchorage 2-0 (7-2, 7-5) in NECC play. They beat University of Maine Augusta 2-0 (7-1, 7-0) in ECAC play and the Carbon Crusaders in Midwest Rainbow Six, 2-1.
Overwatch Gold improved to 2-0 in MVEC play with a 3-0 victory over Illinois College while BVU Navy beat Harrisburg Area Community College 3-1 in ECAC play.
Overwatch Gold, Navy and White compete in NECC play tonight.
