GRINNELL, Iowa (Jan. 31, 2026) - The Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team was back on the track Saturday to continue its schedule by competing at the Grinnell College Invite.

Freshman Bryce Moquin missed out on the finals of the 60m hurdles but still set a new personal best time of 7.37 seconds and also did the same in the 200m dash after crossing the line in 23.54 seconds and placed 12th overall. Senior Easton Hayes edged him out by the slimmest of margins at 23.50 seconds.

Freshman Patrick Heffernan turned in an eighth place performance in the 5000m run in 16:06.02 and was only a couple seconds out of sixth.

In the field events, freshman Kaden Zweibahmer had the team's highest placing of the day as he took fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.08m.

Buena Vista continues its schedule next Saturday, Feb.  7, at the Spartan Shootout hosted by the University of Dubuque.
