BVU to Host Second Annual Archery Camp & Visit Day

Storm Lake, Iowa — Buena Vista University (BVU) will host its second annual Archery Camp & Visit Day on Saturday, November 1, from 1–6 p.m., giving middle and high school students the opportunity to sharpen their skills while experiencing life on the BVU campus.

The camp is open to students in grades 7–12, whether they are involved in NASP, JOAD, 4-H, S3DA, or simply eager to grow in the sport of archery.

Throughout the day, participants will benefit from hands-on coaching with BVU's head coach and current collegiate archers, targeted drills to improve technique, and fun challenges designed to test their skills. Campers will also enjoy a complimentary dinner, take a guided campus tour, and learn about scholarship opportunities and BVU's growing Archery program.

"This camp is about more than just archery, it's about helping students believe in themselves, build confidence, and picture what their future could look like, both on and off the range," said BVU Head Archery Coach Conner Ellinghuysen. "We're excited to welcome young archers back to campus for a second year of learning, competition, and community."

The cost of the camp is $50 per participant, and students are required to bring their own equipment, including bows and arrows.

Registration is now open at bvu.edu/archery-camp
