Drew Taylor Named to ABCA DIII Region IX All-Defensive Team

STORM LAKE, Iowa (June 24, 2025) - The American Baseball Coaches Association recently announced its DIII Region All-Defensive Teams and Buena Vista senior Drew Taylor was named to the Region 9 Team at third base.

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors. The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced Wednesday, June 18.

Taylor was one of three players from the American Rivers Conference to land a spot on the nine-player team. He finished the year with only five errors in 110 total chances, to go along with 79 assists, while defending the hot corner for a fielding percentage of .955. He made only one error after Apr. 5, and helped lead the Beavers to the regular season and A-R-C Tournament titles and a berth into the NCAA Regional Tournament.
