Softball Lands Five Players on CSC Academic All-District Team

STORM LAKE, Iowa (May 27, 2025) - The College Sports Communicators announced its 2025 Softball Academic All-District Team today with Buena Vista landing the maximum of five individuals on this year's team.

The Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for recognition, a player must be in at least sophomore academic and athletic standing with one full year at the current institution while holding a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. All players are nominated by their respective school's Athletics Communications department. An individual must have competed in at least 90 percent of the team's games or must start in at least 60 percent. For softball pitchers, a minimum of 17 appearances or 25 total innings are required.

Elwood is being recognized for the third straight season while the other four earn the accolades for the first time in their respective careers.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
