Multiple Women's Wrestlers Named to All-Conference Team

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Apr. 3, 2025) - The American Rivers Conference announced today its inaugural Women's Wrestling All-Conference Team and Buena Vista University had multiple individuals earn such honors.

The all-conference team is based on the top-3 overall place winners from each weight class during the A-R-C Women's Wrestling Invite. The 2024-25 season marks the league's first-ever all-conference women's wrestling team.

Harley Tobin, women's wrestling vs. Dubuque

For the Beavers, they landed Preston Aurora (103lbs), Harley Tobin (110lbs) and Magalie Mogiga (207lbs). Preston finished third at the A-R-C Women's Wrestling Invite and was 7-8 overall on the year. Tobin was second at the tournament and finished the season with a record of 6-5 while Mogiga also claimed third place and was 9-12 for the year.

Buena Vista was one of six A-R-C schools to sponsor women's wrestling this season which marked the first year that the A-R-C sponsored women's wrestling as a conference sport.

Alex Hofrichter from the University of Dubuque was voted as the A-R-C Most Valuable Performer for the year while Wartburg College's Jasmine Luedtka was tabbed the Rookie of the Year. The University of Dubuque's Dennis Hall was voted as the league's Coach of the Year.
