The middle game of the day featured the Eagles going up against St. Mary's (Ind.) and Central Methodist would challenge the following round with the score tied at 8-8 and would come through successful in the challenge and would go on and edged the Belles, 8-7.
BVU, which faced St. Mary's during its season opening weekend back on Feb. 8, then took on the Belles to end the day in what was the only 16-round performance by either team on the weekend. St. Mary's won the point in each of the first two rounds to grab the early lead, and would not earn the point in the third round. Both teams forfeited in the fourth round to keep it a 2-0 margin heading to the second quarter.
It was the identical scoring outcome in the second quarter as the Belles went into halftime with a 4-0 lead. No points were awarded during the first and third rounds of the third quarter while St. Mary's took the point in both the second and the fourth to extend the margin to 6-0. During the Team Routines of the fourth quarter, the Belles earned all three points in the first rounds, one in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth en route to the 14-0 victory.
“St. Mary's is a new STUNT team this year and are so talented!” added Molinsky. “Their athletes play many different positions and do them all so well. They are in the top of the Division III rankings and are so strong especially in the tumbling rounds. It was fun to play them again this year and continue our growth in the sport.”
