STORM LAKE, Iowa (Dec. 1, 2025) - Buena Vista sophomore Jayden Brink has been named the American Rivers Conference Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 30.
Brink, who is being recognized for the first time in his young BVU career, averaged 26.0ppg and 5.5rpg during BVU's two games last week which came during the NWU Snyder Classic, hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan. On Friday evening, he turned in a career-high 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Beavers hung on for a 77-72 victory over Crown College. He followed that up less than 24 hours later with a new career-best 29 points and a career-high seven made three-point buckets, including the go-ahead one with 24 seconds to play as BVU went on to defeat the University of Dallas, 68-64.
For the weekend, he shot 16-of-32 from the field overall and was 10-of-20 from downtown while being named to the All-Classic Team. His seven made three-point buckets is the most by any A-R-C player in a game so far this season, and he has now scored at least 20 points in three straight games after turning in a combined seven points over the team's first two games.
