BVU Lands Eight Soccer Players on CSC Academic All-District Team

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Nov. 26, 2025) - The Buena Vista University women's and men's soccer teams combined to land a combined total of eight student-athletes on this year's College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced this week.

Student-athletes are nominated by their school's Athletics Communications office with a maximum total of six women and six men eligible. An individual must have started in at least 90 percent of the team's overall matches played or have played in at least 66 percent, maintained an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, be at least a sophomore in academic standing.

A total of 74 student-athletes from across the American Rivers Conference were recognized on the team.

For Buena Vista, the five women named to the team include: senior Avery Bryant, senior Hailey Chambers, sophomore Rachel Huisinga, sophomore Maia Jaroch, and sophomore Megan Rowedder. Chambers and Bryant are being recognized for the second time in her career while the other three are named for the first time. 

On the men's side, the Beavers landed seniors Kendall Bickford, Jacob Kirchner and Zachary Sigler. Kirchner is now a two-time honoree while the other two are recognized for the first time.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
