Men's Cross Country Takes Eighth at A-R-C Championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Nov. 1, 2025) - The Buena Vista men's cross country team stepped onto the course at the Dubuque Soccer Complex on Saturday morning for the 2025 A-R-C Cross Country Championships hosted by Loras College, and the Beavers came in eighth overall with 231 points.

Leading the way individually was junior Patrick Heffernan who placed 33rd overall and posted a personal best time of 25:20.8 which was only 30 seconds back of the all-conference pack. Senior Hadyn Piskorski was next at 91st with a personal best of his own at 26:36. Freshman Leighton Sippel capped of his first-ever championships with a personal best time while senior Dylan Austad had his season best time.

Freshman Corbin Webster and Aiden Egertson were close to finish and both turned in their fastest clockings of the season as did senior Carter Braun who rounded out the point scorers for the Beavers. Freshman Kade Hruby had another personal best as did fellow freshman Daniel Torres-Najara, to round out the line-up.

No. 2-ranked Wartburg College totaled only 15 points and ran away with the team race while No. 29-ranked Loras College was next at 76 points. Central College was third with 93.

Buena Vista will now compete at the NCAA DIII Midwest Regional Championships to be held in Waverly, Iowa, on Nov. 15, with Watburg College as the host.
