PELLA, IA (Oct. 25, 2025) - Central College broke a scoreless match in the closing minutes of the first half and then added two more in the second half as the Dutch went on to hold off the Buena Vista women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon, 3-0.
Despite being outshot 23-0, the Beavers appeared to be heading into halftime tied at 0-0 but the Dutch was able to find the back of the net with under three minutes remaining in the opening half on a goal from Grace Wolford. Central wasted little time doubling the score less than one minute into the second half before Wolford closed the scoring with her second goal of the day inside the final seven minutes of the match.
Central held a 40-4 margin in total shots overall. All four of BVU's shot attempts came in the second half of play with
Bailey Gibbons and
Macy Palmer each turning in one - both on goal.
Sophomore
