INDIANOLA, Iowa (Nov. 2, 2024) - The Buena Vista University women's wrestling team opened its 2024-25 season on Saturday at the annual Luther Hill Invitational, hosted by Simpson College.

BVU had seven individuals taking part on the day and had multiple individuals win at least one match. Freshman Evelyn Kramer came out and won her debut match with a strong 2:00 pin over Averi Peterson from Hawkeye Community College. Fellow freshman Kaylee Nachtigal received a bye in the first round and then followed that up with a fall in 1:50.

Up next for the Beavers, will be the Luther College Open on Saturday, Nov. 9.
