Nearly two minutes later, the Eagles got the benefit of a foul called on the Beavers near the upper left side, and just outside the box. The free kick was sent on a direct line to the goal and just past a diving Trisha Westphal to even the score at 1-1.
The scoring didn't stop there, as the Beavers, who were going into the wind throughout the first half, capitalized on a shot attempt by Chambers that made it 2-1 late in the 16', and that's how things stood until near the midway point of the second half when Lippert took a pass from King and registered the final score of the contest.
BVU held a 22-4 advantage over the Eagles in total shots with 15 coming on-goal. Lippert finished the day with nine total attempts and eight on-goal. Chambers was next at four attempts with her goal the only one on target. King was one of two players to chip in with two shot attempts. Her two assists give her four on the year and six in her career.
Westphal finished the match by going the distance and posting two saves.
Buena Vista improves to 6-4-1 overall and will return to American Rivers Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Luther College. Kickoff against the Norse is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
