DUBUQUE, Iowa (Oct. 26, 2024) - The Buena Vista University women's soccer team went on the road for the final time this season on Saturday for an American Rivers Conference match against the University of Dubuque but the Beavers came up short in a 2-0 loss.

The Spartans, who held a 31-0 advantage in total shots for the game, scored the first of their two goals less than three minutes into play, before adding the final late in the first half during the 35'. Dubuque also had 15 total corner kicks in the contest while BVU was held to none.

Trisha Westphal played all 90 minutes in-goal for BVU and registered 14 saves.  

Buena Vista dips to 7-9-1 overall (1-6 A-R-C) and will wrap up the season on Tuesday, Oct. 29, by hosting Wartburg College at 5 p.m.
