INDIANOLA, Iowa (Oct. 12, 2024) - The Buena Vista University men's soccer team went on the road Saturday night at Simpson College, but the Beavers came up on the short end of a tough 7-0 setback to the Storm.
Simpson got on the board in the first three minutes of play and then doubled the score just over 10 minutes later to make it 2-0 at the half. Mitchell Dickson, who dished out assists on the Storm's first two goals, knocked one home himself just over eight minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 and start the first of five second half goals.

Ben Jackson took two of BVU's seven shots in the match with
Colton Waterhouse coming through with it's only shot-on-goal.
Zachary Sigler went the first 70 minutes in-goal for the Beavers and allowed five goals and made six saves.
Cody Fuller came on for the final 20 minutes.
Dickson finished with one goal and three assists for the Storm, which improved to 5-6-2 overall (1-1-1 A-R-C).
Buena Vista is 8-6 on the year (0-4 A-R-C) and will look to snap its three-match losing skid when it travels to Coe College (5-7-1, 1-2-0 A-R-C) on Tuesday, Oct. 15, for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
