DUBUQUE, Iowa (Jan. 27, 2024) - The Buena Vista women's wrestling team went on the road for the second time this week for a dual but would come out on the short end of a 27-6 loss at the University of Dubuque.

The Spartans would win all four matches wrestled in the dual, including back-to-back technical falls to begin at 143 and 155 pounds, respectively. The Beavers scored one team point at 116 pounds despite losing by technical fall. Elizabeth Tapia-Bañuelos won by forfeit at 123 pounds for the final score of the contest.

Buena Vista is 0-5 in duals this season and is scheduled to compete at the Quad Cities DIII Invite on Feb. 2-3 in East Moline, Ill.
