MITCHELL, S.D. (Jan. 23, 2024) - The Buena Vista women's wrestling team jumped right back into action on Tuesday night for a non-conference dual at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Both teams were open at the first two weight classes which led to Daisy Olais receiving a forfeit at 116 pounds and giving the Beavers the 5-0 advantage. Freshman Elizabeth Tapia-Bañuelos pushed the margin to 10-0 with a fall late in the first period at 2:48.

Dakota Wesleyan would then go on to record three straight falls of its own followed by a win by forfeit at 170 to make it a 20-10 margin heading into the final weight class where BVU freshman Magalie Mogiga would earn a forfeit to make it a 20-15 final.

Buena Vista is now 0-4 this season and travels to the University of Dubuque on Saturday, Jan. 27, for a dual starting at 3 p.m.
