Blackburn got on the board first during the 14th minute on one of its eight shot attempts for the day.
The Beavers were on the attack for a large majority of the contest but narrowly missed on a few shot attempts. The team took 21 total shots with 10 coming on-goal. Bendall led the way with seven shots, including three on-goal, Eduardo Garcia had five (three on-goal), while Stover added three.
Cody Fuller went all 90:00 in-goal and made three saves.
Buena Vista is now 1-5-2 overall and begins American Rivers Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Loras College with kickoff at 1 p.m. inside of the Rock Bowl.
