STORM LAKE, Iowa (June 28, 2023) - Buena Vista University women's track & field graduate student Becca Simpson added to the list of her postseason accolades on Wednesday by being named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

A total of 45 members from across Division III landed a spot on one of the three teams with 13 being repeat selections. The entire women's team combined for a collective GPA of 3.89. Thirteen of the 45 boast a 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school.

Simpson, an elementary education major, is one of seven American Rivers Conference individuals to earn such honors this season. She also becomes the BVU's first-ever Track & Field CSC Academic All-American.
