BVU vs. BETHANY LUTHERAN
The Beavers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a first inning two run double from Calvin Harris, however the lead was short-lived as Bethany Lutheran responded with a two-run homerun in the bottom of the second. The game would not remain tied long as Logan Mueller smoked a two-run double in the third to provide the first two of three Beaver runs in the inning.Â
The Beavers lineup would not look back, adding on with a Zack Beekmann homerun in the fifth before another pair of three-run outbursts in the seventh and eighth.
After allowing the homerun in the second, Dalton Glenn was spotless, throwing 7.2 scoreless innings to finish off his first nine-inning complete-game. Glenn finished the game having allowed just two runs on nine hits while striking out seven. The effort earned him the winning decision, improving his record to 6-2 on the season.
The Beavers lineup compiled 12 runs on 19 hits. Beekmann, Mueller, and Harris all had standout performances for the unit. Beekmann had a game-high three hits, including a homerun and double, while driving three runs. Mueller recorded two doubles while driving in a game-high four runs. Harris had two hits, including a double while driving in three runs.

BVU vs. BETHEL
The Beavers jumped out to another early lead on a first inning RBI single by Harris, but Bethel struck back with a homerun in the second and a sac fly in the third to go ahead. Mueller continued his big day at the plate by responding with a game-tying RBI single in the fourth. The game would not remain tied long though, as Bethel used a barrage of singles during their half of the fourth en route to a three-run outburst.Â
The Beavers' bats threatened to comeback in the following four innings, but ultimately could not find the big hit, stranding at least one runner each inning. While the Beavers searched for their big hit, Bethel added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh and one in the eighth.
The insurance runs proved to be crucial, as the Beavers' bats found their rhythm in the ninth. With one out, the lineup exploded for four runs on four straight hits and a sac fly to bring the tying run to the plate with two outs. Bethel, however, would induce a ground out to end the game.Â
Mason Gehling was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in relief.  Nolan Faber pitched the bulk of the middle innings, allowing two unearned runs on no hits across 3.2 innings.Â
The BVU lineup scored six runs on 14 hits. Harris and Mueller each contributed another pair of strong performances. Harris drove in two runs on two hits while scoring once. In his final career game, Mueller went out with a bang, recording two hits while driving in a run. The performances gave both hitters a total of five RBI on the day. Drew Taylor scored twice on three hits. Evan Taylor scored twice on two hits. Jordan Mathewson added one hit, leaving him one shy of the program's single-season school record of 75.
Buena Vista closes its season at 31-11 overall.
