ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (May 18, 2023) - Buena Vista University junior Kyle Miller highlighted the Augustana College Midwest Twilight on Thursday afternoon by setting a new school record for the second straight time in the 800m run as he finished third in the race while crossing the finish line in 1:49.88.

Miller's new record surpassed his previous mark set just five days ago during the finals of the A-R-C Outdoor Championships when he ran 1:50.85. That marked pushed him up to 20th in Division III.  Heading into today's Last Chance Meet, he sat at 23rd. Following the race, his new time would put him in the top-10.

The top-22 times in the country will earn qualification into next weekend's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Colin Imhoff placed 25th in the race, clocking a time of 1:57.86.

Miller will await the official listing of qualifications which are expected to be announced on Friday evening, May 19.
