Men's Basketball to play at Simpson and Wartburg

Storm Lake, Iowa (Feb. 7, 2023) The Buena vista Men's basketball team hits the road this week, as it travels to Simpson College for a mid-week matchup and a weekend matchup at Wartburg College.

The Beavers, who are coming off a thrilling win at home against Coe College this past Saturday, will hit the road this week looking to capture a pair of wins at Simpson and Wartburg College. On the season, the Beavers are averaging nearly 74 points per game which puts them in the middle of the pack in scoring amongst the rest of the league. The one constant on the season for the Beavers is junior Zane Neubaum, who is averaging 18.7 points per game on year. Junior Noah Valdez, who had a slow start to the season, however, has turned it on as of late, and he has scored in double figures in 3 of the last 4 games. Defensively, the Beavers on the season have given up on average 76 points per game. Junior Gunner Reed is averaging 5.9 rebounds per game overall and has been crashing the glass all year.
