STORM LAKE, Iowa (Feb. 24, 2023) - The Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team began the 2023 American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships on its home surface on Friday afternoon inside of the Lamberti Recreation Center.

Sophomore Kaden Sadler led the way with a strong eighth place finish in the 5,000-meter run in a personal best time of 15:31.43.

Freshman Abraham Christensen set a new personal best mark in the shot put with a heave of 13.83 meters (45 feet, 4.5 inches) and just missed out on scoring points by just over one foot. Freshman Easton Hayes was also 11th in the long jump with a leap of 6.14 meters. He was just nine inches away from landing a spot in the top-8.

The final race of the night was the distance medley relay which had BVU finish sixth overall in a time of 10:38.02. Colin Imhoff, Jadon Micke, Carter Braun and Kyle Miller teamed up to record the program's second fastest time in program history.

Buena Vista is currently in eighth place overall with four points. Action resumes and concludes on Saturday with field events beginning at 10 a.m. and the first running event slated for a 1 p.m. start.
