STORM LAKE, Iowa (Feb. 17) - The Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team is making its final tune-up before next week's American Rivers Championships by taking part as non-scoring participants in the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Regional Meet, held inside of the Lamberti Recreation Center on the BVU campus.
In the high jump,
Gabe Obert matched his season-best mark at 1.75 meters while Isaiah Adams set a new best at 1,70 meters. Joe Fisher made his debut in the pole vault and went 3.00 meters which tied for the top mark.
Freshman,
Abraham Christensen posted a heave of 13.99 meters in the shot put which was just shy of his season best, but the mark would have placed him fourth.
David Crow was next at 12.47 meters.
The Beavers will wrap up the weekend with the remainder of the Regional Meet taking place on Saturday. Field events get underway at 10 a.m. with the running events starting at 12 p.m.
