About Buena Vista

The Beavers, after coming off a home win against Coe a couple weeks ago, couldn't continue the winning ways as they dropped both road games last week against Simpson and Wartburg. Coming into their last conference game against the Dutch, the Beavers have lost 4 of their last 5 and they are looking to finish the year strong with a win at home. On the season, the Beavers are averaging almost 73 points a game which ranks towards the middle of the pack in the A-R-C. However, the team is giving up 76 points per game on the season which ranks last in the A-R-C. Leading the offensive attack for the Beavers is junior Zane Neubaum, who is averaging 18.4 points per game on the season. Neubaum has been the main source of offense most of the year, but he has also gotten some help from juniors Gunner Reed and Ryan Mendoza, who are both averaging around 10 points per game on the season. Neubaum is averaging 1.3 steals a game on the season and Reed is averaging just under six rebounds a game on the year. The Beavers look to put it all together one last time at home in conference play.

Stat Leaders

Zane Neubaum 18.4 PPG
Gunner Reed 5.9 RPG
Michael Santich 2.5 ASP

About the Dutch

The Dutch are coming into the contest having won 4 of their last 5 games and are currently sitting atop of the conference standings. Offensively on the season, the Dutch are only averaging 71.8 points per game which ranks second to last in the conference. However, they make up for this because they rank first in the conference, defensively, as they are only giving up 64 points per game on the season. Their offensive attack is led by junior, Joshua Van Gorp who is averaging 17.5 points per game. Seniors Kade Terrell and Grant Johnson have also been putting up respectable numbers offensively, as they are averaging 12 and 11.5 points per game. Johnson is also making an impact on the defensive side of the ball as he is averaging 3.0 blocks per game. He is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging almost 9.0 rebounds per game. The Dutch are looking to close in on the A-R-C regular season crown in their last two games of the season.

Stat Leaders

Joshua Van Gorp 17.5 PPG
Grant Johnson 8.9 PPG
Drew Edwards 4.7 APG

Up Next: After the Beavers take on the Dutch in the final conference game of the year, they will make up a rescheduled game at home against the University of Wisconsin Stout in the final game of the year on Friday Feb. 17, at 5:00 pm.
