GRINNELL, Iowa (Feb. 11, 2023) - Buena Vista junior Kyle Miller captured an individual title in the mile to help highlight the day for the Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team on Saturday as the Beavers went on to place sixth overall as a team with 46.5 points.

Miller reached the finish line in 4:29.89 to win by just under one full second. Senior Colin Imhoff was eighth in the race at 4:38.53. Sophomore Kaden Sadler ran a season-best time of 15:35.50 in the 5000m run and took second. 

Easton Hays came in fourth in the long jump with a leap of 20-1.0. Abraham Christensen also claimed a fourth-place finish in the shot put and was seventh in the weight throw. David Crow led the way in the weight throw with a fifth-place effort at 46-5.5.

Buena Vista will return to action on Feb. 17-18 as it will compete as non-scored participants in the annual Junior College Regional Meet, hosted inside of the Lamberti Recreation Center on the BVU campus. That will be the team's final tune-up for the A-R-C Indoor Championships, also held in Storm Lake, on Feb. 24-25.
