HANCOCK, Mich. (Sept. 3, 2022) - Finlandia scored the game's first goal in the final 15 minutes of the opening half, and that's how things stood until an OWN GOAL was credited to BVU in the final 22 seconds of the match to earn the Beavers a 1-1 tie.

The Lions held a 19-3 advantage in total shots and held the Beavers without a single shot attempt in the second half alone. Despite the large margin, Finlandia only finished with five shots-on-goal overall as Isaiah Thomas was strong guarding the net with four saves.

Connor Williams had one of the team's three shot attempts, including one of its two shots-on-goal.

Chinedu Ikem scored the goal for the Lions while Mohamed Koroma led all players with four total shot attempts.

Buena Vista is now 0-1-1 on the year and goes after its first win on Monday, September 5, when it plays at UW-River Falls at 1:30 p.m.
