Men's Basketball Set for Home A-R-C Games against NWU and Luther

STORM LAKE, Iowa (December 6, 2022) – The Buena Vista men's basketball team returns home for more American Rivers Conference action with a pair of matchups vs Nebraska Wesleyan and Luther.

Wednesday, December 7 | Nebraska Wesleyan (3-4, 1-1) at Buena Vista (4-4, 0-2) | 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 10 | Luther (1-6, 0-3) at Buena Vista (4-4, 0-2) | 4 p.m.

ABOUT BUENA VISTA 
The Beavers opened American Rivers Conference play last week with a pair of road losses to Dubuque and Loras. They will aim to bounce back Wednesday against Nebraska Wesleyan. They enter the matchup with a fourth-ranked offense, averaging 79.1 points per game but have been held to just under 64.0ppg during the first two league contests. Leading the charge for the offense is Zane Neubaum. The junior currently sits atop the A-R-C leaderboard, averaging 21.1 points per game on .513 shooting. Defensively, the Beavers sit eighth in the A-R-C, allowing 77.1 points per game. The team continues to look for its touch for long distance as its been held to just 28.3 percent in the early going.

ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan split a pair of games last week to open up A-R-C play. They will look to start a winning streak after picking up a win in the second game against Luther College, 72-48. The Prairie Wolves boast a third-ranked offense, averaging 82.0 points per game. They are led by Peter Lash, who ranks second in the A-R-C with 20.6 points per game. During the first two A-R-C games, Lash is scoring 19.0ppg and grabbing 5.0rpg. Defensively, the squad ranks fifth with 72.1 points allowed per game, including a league-best 60.5ppg to begin A-R-C play.
