Box Score INDIANOLA, Iowa (Oct. 5, 2022) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team continued American Rivers Conference play on Wednesday night at Simpson College, but it was the Storm using a big second half to push them to a 7-0 victory over the Beavers.

Freshman Madyline Taylor registered three of BVU's five shot attempts in the contest with one coming on-goal. Kaycie King and Maddie Burr each followed with one.

Cassie Nash scored twice for Simpson in the first half to give the Storm a 2-0 halftime lead. Nash then dished out the assist on a goal just two minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 before the Storm (5-4-1, 2-1 A-R-C) went on to score four more times. Julia Wagoner had six of Simpson's 34 total shot attempts on the night, including one goal, to help lead the way offensively. Nash added four shots (three on-goal), including her two goals.

Trisha Westphal made the start in-goal for BVU and allowed six of the seven goals over her 68:00 played. Maddy Bigalke played the final 24 minutes and was charged with the final goal.

Buena Vista (4-7, 0-3 A-R-C) is back on the field Saturday afternoon for a non-conference road match at Rochester Community & Technical College at 7:00 p.m.
