CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Oct. 15, 2022) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team went on the road on Saturday evening looking for its first American Rivers Conference victory of the year, but the Beavers came up short, 2-0.
It was a 0-0 contest at the half before Coe got on the board in the first five minutes of the second half. That's how things would stand until the Kohawks added an insurance goal inside the final minute of play. Coe held a 13-4 advantage in total shots in the contest and held BVU to only two shots on-goal.
Amanda Brich and Madelyn Taylor each had one shot-on-goal to lead BVU as
Trisha Westphal went the distance in-goal and recorded four saves.
Buena Vista is now 4-9-1 overall (0-5 A-R-C) with the Kohawks moving to 1-13-1 (1-5 A-R-C)/
The Beavers are back at home to play a pair of home matches to wrap up their home slate. The team is set to host Central College on Wednesday, October 19, at 4:00 p.m.
