STORM LAKE, Iowa (May 26, 2021) - The Buena Vista University Outdoor Track & Field program has landed a trio of All-Central Region performers as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday, May 25.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

Junior Garrett Bates was the lone individual for BVU on the men's side as he earned such recognition in the pole vault.  Freshman Jessica Sump (long jump) and junior Becca Simpson (javelin) landed the honors on the women's side.  The trio were among 73 individuals from across the American Rivers Conference recognized.
