WAVERLY, Iowa (March 6, 2021) - The Buena Vista women's indoor track and field team totaled 36 total points and finished seventh on Saturday during the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships, hosted by Wartburg College.
Emily Hoesing took fourth overall in the 5,000-meter run and set yet another school record with a time of 18:22.33. She would also take sixth in the 3,000-meter run with teammate
Qiana Roderick right behind in seventh.Â
Kylie Johnston set a personal best time of 8.00 and qualified into the finals of the 60-meter dash where she would take sixth.
Becca Simpson missed out on earning all-conference in the weight throw after taking fifth with a toss of 16.18 meters. She also settled for fifth in the shot put.
The distance medley relay team also took fourth in a time of 13:10.19.
BVU was just six points shy of Luther which took sixth. The host Knights blew away the field with 200 points to win by 64 points over runner-up Loras College. The Beavers are scheduled to take part in the DIII Elite Indoor Championships hosted again by Wartburg College on March 12 and 13.
