Saturday's matchup will be the 36th meeting between the two programs. The series began back in 1996, with Coe holding the overall 22-13 advantage. All of the last five meetings between the Kohawks and the Beavers have gone at least four sets. BVU's last victory over Coe was back in 2018 with a decisive 3-1 home win.  Â

ABOUTÂ THE KOHAWKSÂ
Coe will take the court for the third time this season as the Kohawks come to Storm Lake. The team's previous matches have been one-sided as it swept Central on February 21 and then dropped three straight sets to Wartburg on Tuesday, February 23. The team struggled in that match as it recorded only a .051 killing percentage and 24 attacking errors. Coe currently holds a .148 hitting percentage on the season. Sophomore Kate Tidman leads the Kohawks with an average of 3.33 kills per set, ranking fifth in the A-R-C. Outside hitter Madi Parson is also a key player for Coe as she averages 3 kills and 3.5 points per set, as well as leading the team in service aces (.50 per set). Â
ABOUT BUENA VISTAÂ
The Beavers return to Storm Lake after a thrilling road victory in Lincoln on Wednesday, February 24. After dropping the opening set, BVU rallied back to defeat Nebraska Wesleyan in four sets. The team recorded .258 killing percentage, led by junior Sydney McLaren with 13 kills along with 11 digs, her second double-double of the season. In addition, Jade Hays came through for the Beavers with a team-high 13 digs in the contest. Freshmen Rachel Brockney and Kaela White were top performers with a combined total of 16 kills (Brockey 9, White 7). On the season, Buena Vista ranks second in the conference for hitting percentage (.252) and first in average service aces (2 per set). Sophomore Taylor Wedemeyer leads the conference in assists, averaging 11.14 per set and pushing the overall team in average assists (12.57 per set). Â
