STORM LAKE, Iowa (Nov. 2, 2026) - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) has announced its weekly volleyball Performers of the Week, and Buena Vista has again swept the honors for the period ending Sunday, Nov. 1. Sophomore Charley Hernandez has been named the Offensive Performer of the Week with freshman Nora Konz being named the Defensive Performer of the Week.

This marks the second time this season that the dynamic duo has swept the weekly conference honors.  They last did so back on Monday, Oct. 12. For both individuals, it's also the second time in their respective careers to earn the recognition.

She also registered 29.5 points overall which is her second-highest total of the year (30 vs. Concordia-Moorhead). During the team's four-set road win at Simpson College last Friday night, Hernandez pounded out 27 kills which ties for the third-most by any player in any set in program history. She followed that up with a match-high 15 kills against Central on Saturday afternoon to help lead BVU to its first-ever road win over the Dutch.

Konz, meanwhile, turned in 3.67 digs per set which was second on the team. She also chipped in with 35 total kills and had seven ace serves. During the four-set win over Central, she had a career-high six ace serves which is tied for second-most in any match by an A-R-C player this season.

Hernandez  and Konz combined for only four reception errors for the week on a combined 166 total attempts.

Buena Vista finished the week at 3-0 and improves to 22-2 on the year (5-1 A-R-C). The team has secured the No. 2 seed and a first round bye in next week's A-R-C Tournament. The Beavers wrap up the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 3, hosting Coe College (9-16, 2-4 A-R-C) at 6 p.m.
