STORM LAKE, Iowa (February 13, 2021) - The Buena Vista men's track & field team was back in action on Saturday hosting a second straight triangular as it competed against both Simpson College and Wartburg College inside of the Lamberti Rec Center.
Lane Jellison set season-best marks in both the weight throw and shot put as he took second in both events. He's now ranked seventh in the A-R-C in the shot put and 10th in the weight throw.Â
Garrett Bates took the pole vault title over teammate Joe Fisher.
Greg Tystahl set a major personal best time of 9:02.42 in the 3,000-meter run and placed sixth overall.Â
Dylan Reimer and
Riley Flint took fourth and fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with each ranked in the top-25 of the A-R-C.Â
Kyle Miller (1:59.95) was edged in the final steps to take second in the 800-meter run by just .02 seconds.Â
Jadon Micke took third in the 400-meter dash at 51.83 as
Spencer Hunt took fourth in the 200.
Buena Vista looks to put up more personal and season-best marks next Saturday when it goes on the road for the first time this season to compete at the Dubuque Triangular against both the host Spartans as well as Coe College. Action is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
