WAVERLY - Wartburg was as locked in from downtown as could be in the first half, and the Beavers couldn't recover, as they dropped their final game of the season on Wednesday night inside of Levick Arena, 103-81.

The Knights went 14-of-18 from long distance in the opening half, compared to 6-of-18 for BVU, and built a 69-41 lead at the break.

Wartburg remained hot throughout the first part of the second half, building a 32-point advantage at 92-60, and never let the Beavers go on any sort of run.  Connor Winkelman came to life down the stretch for BVU, scoring 17 of his team-high 20 in the final period.  He went 6-of-7 from downtown in the game while grabbing a pair of rebounds.

Timothy Jeffries followed with 15 points while Garrett Sittner and Brendan Gary each added 10.  Gary grabbed a team-leading eight rebounds while Jeffries and Sittner had five.

Buena Vista finishes its season at 11-14 (5-11 A-R-C).  Winkelman is the only senior on this year's roster.  He averaged 20.7ppg over his final four contests while shooting 24-of-48 (50 percent) from long range during that span.
