The Buena Vista baseball team looks for the sweep this weekend to keep their conference tournament hopes alive. After dropping their last four games to quality teams, the Beavers need to start adding conference wins to their record as we near the end of the regular season. The team has been putting in quality at bats this season sitting in the top five in the IIAC for batting average, slugging percentage, on base percentage, runs scored, hits, RBI's, and total bases. Pitching for the Beavers has been up and down all season and BVU will need their pitchers to throw well this weekend if they want to have a chance to take all three games. Simpson enters the series with a record of 4-26 and a IIAC record of 2-15. Simpson ranks in the bottom third in all major pitching and hitting categories. The first game will start Friday at 6 p.m. at McBride Field in Indianola.
