Box Score Ali Grein turned in a career-high 14 kills, while Jade Schaap and Maddie Bardole added 12 and 11 to help lead the Buena Vista volleyball team to a 3-1 road victory at Martin Luther on Wednesday night.
Grein set her career-high on just 23 swings while posting a stellar .523 attack percentage. She also added a pair of ace serves, four digs and two block assists. Schaap also posted a school single-math record with nine ace serves, breaking Cara Kreman's previous mark of seven set back in 2009.
Bardole also set a record of her own in the match, posting a pair of ace serves and becoming the program's career record holder with 119. She surpasses Sam Narveson's mark of 118 from 2007-10.
Ashley Pelton dished out 26 assists and had seven digs while Kylie Roe had 17 assists and a team-best 12 digs.
The Beavers posted an attack percentage of .243 and the 52 kills were the third-most for the team this season.
BVU has now won five of seven matches overall to improve to 7-3 on the year. It will look to keep the winning ways going when it takes part in the Wartburg College Invite this Friday and Saturday in Waverly. The team begins play on Friday night at 7:00pm against St. Olaf before playing two more matches Saturday.
