Senior outfielder Tanner Truesdell had a big weekend at the plate for Buena Vista, and for that success he has been named the Iowa Conference's Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 20.

Truesdell went 6-for-9 in two games as BVU picked up wins over George Fox and Cal Lutheran, respectively.  In the opener of the spring trip against GFU, he finished 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI as the Beavers rolled to a 24-3 victory.

It marks the second straight week that BVU has been recongnized with Male Athlete of the Week accolades (Brandon Wessels).

Truesdell enters Tuesday's doubleheader against Hamline batting .393 with a team-high five doubles, and is second in RBI (9) and third in slugging percentage (.571).

Buena Vista is currently 5-2 overall, and had its four-game win streak snapped on Monday.
