The Buena Vista women's tennis team played three of its four spring matches over the last three days, including a 3-3 tie here in Storm Lake against Grand View University of Tuesday afternoon.

Playing with only four players in all three matches, BVU dropped a 9-0 decision against Doane College on Saturday before being edged in a 7-2 setback against Midland (Neb.) later that afternoon.  BVU then came back and split six matches against the Vikings to earn the draw.

Tarynne Kinghorn and Rica Mizero were victrious in single play against Midland with Mizero also winning in straight sets in her number 3 single match against Grand View.

Madison Gierstorf also won in straight sets on Tuesday in her number four singles match after teamming up with Emma Hartz to roll to an 8-0 doubles win.

BVU is 0-9-1 on the year and will wrap up its season next Wednesday afternoon, February 24, with a home match against Northwestern College (IA) beginning at 3:00pm.
