The Buena Vista volleyball team posted a 2-1 mark at the Wartburg College Tournament after splitting a pair of matches on Saturday.

The team began with a thrilling come-from-behind 3-2 win in Friday night's opener against UW-Platteville.  The Beavers trailed 2-0 in the match and rallied to force a fifth set.  The Pioneers led by more than five points in the final set, but the Beavers again stormed back and took the set and the match with a 17-15 decision.

BVU fell in Saturday's opener, 3-1, against the College of St. Benedict but came right back to win a five-set thriller against St. Olaf.

Final stats from the three matches are not currently available.

Junior outside hitter Maddie Bardole was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Beavers, who improve to 7-6 on the year.

Next up for BVU will be an Iowa Conference showdown inside of Siebens Fieldhouse against Coe College on Tuesday night, September 22, at 7:30pm.  It'll be the first meeting of the two teams since last year's IIAC Tournament championship match.
