The match was tied 0-0 at the half, but then the Buena Vista women's soccer team saw Simpson catch fire with six second-half goals, as the Storm handed the Beavers a 6-0 defeat in the season finale.

Buena Vista struggled to get the ball near the goal, finishing with only three shots, including one on-goal.  All three of those shots came in the first 45 minutes, as the Storm outshot BVU, 20-3.

Casey Reisen and Mackensie Stump each added two goals for Simpson which picked up its first Iowa Conference win of the year.

Rachel Novotny went the distance in-goal for the Beavers and did stop nine shots.

Lindsay Meyer was credited with two of BVU's three shots.

The match was not only the final one of the year for Buena Vista, but also the final in the career of six seniors: Kelsey O'Connor, Echo King, Tori Carson, Taylor Daniel, Aleasha Bibler and Kayla Hicks.

The Beavers concluded the year at 3-13 overall (0-7 IIAC).
