Women's Soccer Blanked at Loras, 6-0

Box Score

Loras College scored a trio of goals in each half on Saturday afternoon, as the Duhawks would go on to hand the Buena Vista women's soccer team a 6-0 Iowa Conference road setback.

The Duhawks wasted little time getting the scoring started, finding the back of the next less than four minutes into the match.  They later extended the lead to 2-0 midway through the half before a third goal just before intermission made it a 3-0 halftime lead.

Loras (7-6, 2-1 IIAC), which out-shot BVU, 26-2, made it 4-0 with five minutes gone by in the second half before adding the final two goals during the 55th and 57th minutes, respectively.

Claire Arganbright and Tori Carson turned in the two shots for the Beavers, which are still searching for their first win since September 7.

Buena Vista is now 3-5-3 (0-2-1 IIAC) and will now step out of IIAC play on Wednesday, October 8, for a non-conference road match at St. Mary's (Minn.) beginning at 7:30pm.
