The Buena Vista women's soccer team was looking to end its 2014 season on a positive note Tuesday night, but the Beavers came up a little short against the Knights, falling 3-0.

Wartburg scored the first goal during the 10' before taking a 2-0 lead with just over 10 minutes to play in the first half.

The two teams played to a defensive battled for most of the second half before Wartburg (9-5-4, 4-2-1 IIAC) added a late insurance goal during the 74' en route to the three-goal victory.

BVU was held to only five shots in the contest.  Junior Tori Carson turned in two of those, while Naomi Wood and Lindsay Meyer posted the two shots-on-goal.

Freshman Rachel Novotny posted 17 saves in-goal.

Buena Vista concludes its season at 3-12-3 overall (0-6-1 IIAC).  The match also ends the careers of five BVU seniors - Kelsey Kankelfitz, Sam Richards, Chelsea Gubbels, Jordan Flynn and Dakota Shaffer.
