UW-River Falls Posts 4-0 Win over Women's Soccer

UW-River Falls scored a pair of goals in each half on Wednesday night, while holding the Buena Vista women's soccer team to just three total shots, as the Beavers suffered a 4-0 setback to the Eagles.

UW-RF broke the scoreless match with the first goal of the night midway through the first half.  Just five minutes later the Eagles doubled the score and took the 2-0 advantage into halftime.

Early in the second half, Alex Swatloski tallied her second goal of the night to make it a 3-0 contest before the Eagles scored their final goal during the 68'.

Caroline Maher tallied two of BVU's three shots, while Naomi Wood added the other.  Maher had the lone shot on-goal.

Rachel Novotny went the distance in-goal and suffered the tough loss for the Beavers.  She finished the match with nine saves, including six over the first 45 minutes.

Buena Vista now sits at 3-8-3 and will return to Iowa Conference play on Saturday afternoon for a 1:00pm contest at Central College.
